A 1936 Stinson SR-7B - N3040 - Serial # 9654 has come into my possession recently. Below will be a photograph and a brief history of my plane. I am interested in refurbishing her and writing a book about her history and my experiences with her.The purpose of this web page is to solicit help from my fellow antique aircraft enthusiasts. I need help in locating replacement parts and information about her historical.. |
The SR7 is a SR6 fuselage with the gull wing. It's wingspan is 41.6 feet, the fuselage is 27.17 feet, Empty Weight is 2310 Lbs., Gross Weight is 3600 Lbs., Cruses at 132 Mph, 50 of the SR7 series were manufactured, this is the second oldest serial number on the FAA registry, it originally had a 245 Hp Lycoming R-680-6 but now has a R-680-13 rated at 300 Hp. |
