53 CHEVY for Sale PICTURES via slide show
As you can see the car is in covered storage and has been that way for about 10 years.
The 53 Engine was in pieces when we got it and it is still that way. Also, it appears that no one bothered much to make sure it did not rust. My guess is that bead blasting will make a lot cure but looking at engine is why we got the 58.
We have a complete 58 Chevy 6 as Well as the 53 Power Glide Transmission. It has always been my assumption that both the 58 engine & power glide will have to be opened up. What will be found I do not know but my guess is that normal repairs can be made and they will be operational.
The dash and metal interior looks pretty good. The pictures show some rust but that is only on the surface. I don't see any rusted through spots. I just looked at the front seat and it appears to me that it could be just recovered and the same with the back. Have not actully pulled out the seats to confirm but things are dry with no real indication of water so my guess the actual interior will require little work to actually have a drivable automobile.
